Verify parts, caps, labels, seals, screws, inserts, clips, components, or assemblies — confirming every required item is there, in the right place, on every unit that leaves the line, not just the ones someone happened to check.

Every unit confirmed, not assumed
A missing cap, an absent seal, or a forgotten screw is the easiest defect in the world to describe and one of the most expensive to miss. Manual checks and sample audits catch most of them — but at production speed, “most” means the occasional empty position or unlabeled unit still reaches the customer, usually with a complaint attached.
Vision-based presence / absence inspection checks every unit inline, in milliseconds. It is also one of the most forgiving vision tasks to deploy — often the right lighting and a single compact camera are enough — which is why it is frequently the first inspection station a plant automates.
What we verify
Each item type calls for a slightly different lighting and detection approach.
Parts
Confirm a required part is present in the fixture, tray, or assembly position.
Caps
Check a cap is present and fully seated on the container, not missing or tilted.
Labels
Verify a label has been applied and sits within its expected placement window.
Seals
Confirm foil, induction, or tamper seals are present across the full opening.
Screws
Detect missing screws and fasteners at every position on a housing or panel.
Inserts
Check threaded or metal inserts are present in molded and machined parts.
Clips
Verify retaining clips, circlips, and spring clips are fitted where required.
Components
Confirm every required component is on the board, in the kit, or in the tray.
Assemblies
Check that every sub-component of a finished assembly is in place.
How the setup changes with what’s being verified
A quick sense of what typically drives the setup — the exact tools are always tuned during commissioning.
Parts & Components
Backlighting or high-contrast imaging with blob and pattern-match tools to confirm presence and position.
Caps & Seals
Ring or dome lighting to tame glare from glossy caps and foil, with a region-of-interest check across the opening.
Labels
Diffused lighting to avoid reflection from glossy film, comparing the label area against a reference image.
Screws, Inserts & Clips
Coaxial or dark-field lighting to make small metallic features stand out, checked position by position.
Assemblies
Multiple regions of interest in one image, each tied to a required sub-component and its own pass / fail result.

Caps & Seals
Catching missing caps and foil seals at line speed
A beverage packer relied on a visual spot check to catch bottles leaving the capper without a cap or an induction seal. A ring-lit smart camera station was added directly after the capper to confirm both on every bottle and trigger a reject before the labeler.

Screws & Clips
Verifying every fastener and clip on a door-module assembly
A Tier 1 supplier was finding occasional missing screws and retaining clips only at the end-of-line functional test, when rework was expensive. A fixed-mount camera with dark-field lighting now checks every fastener and clip position directly after the assembly station.

Components & Inserts
Confirming component and insert presence on populated boards
Missing connectors and threaded inserts on populated boards were only caught during functional test, long after the value had been added. A high-resolution area scan camera now checks each board against a golden reference immediately after placement.
Tell us what needs to be present and where it should sit. Our application engineers will recommend the camera, lighting, and lens combination to verify it on every unit.
